The reverse thrust effect has stopped working for me for some reason, it can be previewed but the effect won't come on when I am using it during landing. Before it stopped working, on the previous flight, the effect did not stop even after I have disengaged the reverse thrust, I had to manually close the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but the same problem still persists.

Yup. Sounds and effect are not working after latest updates
I second this!! I came here to see if anyone else has figured this out. Since the first person update was introduced, this COMPLETELY stopped working. I'm going to see if I can revert to a version before the first person update because that is downright horrible to not have when landing.
The reverse thrust effect worked for me once out of like 10 landings. Please fix!
