I'm having an issue with the audio-output of the FS Realistic.
I have my sim set up with the MSFS using split audio. One soundcard for the main audio and one soundcard for the communications audio (atc etc) - this is set up in the MSFS options.
I've been using this setup a while, and It really adds to the immersion when you have enginesounds, wind, noise, alarms, buzzers, horns, ambient sounds etc coming from your desktop speakers, while you are talking to the atc on your headset, and the only sound in the headset is ATC....much like the real thing.
Now for some reason, ALL sounds from FS Realistic is however played through my headset - which is configured as the msfs communications channel... but why?? Shouldn't it use the default main audio instead? As there is no way for me to actually select or override where to direct the audio, and the software for some strange reason only chooses the communications device, I'm now stuck with ambient cockpit sounds, breathing, ambient passengers, wind, wheelsounds, turbulencesounds directly in my headset along with the atc....and that is definitly breaking the immersion.... That's not very realistic.
I'm currently on the 7 day trial, and I really like the product - but in order for me to buy, this sound-problem must be solved... Either a way to select output-device, or a fix making it select the main sound output and not the communications device in split setups....
Hey I know it's many months later, but I was just searching to see if anyone else had made the suggestion and I have a solution for you!
Download EarTrumpet from the Windows store. Once you get it just open it from the taskbar and find the FSRealistic volume section. Right click it and then click the two opposing arrows that come up and that will let you change which device FSR outputs to.
