In FSX many years ago I had a program similar which when the jetway connected could hear the pax talking to the flight attendants as they came on board = saying hello etc and just general talking. Could also hear footsteps and the jetway rattling as people walked on the jetway. Then after landing and the pax departed they said good bye, nice flight etc.

FSPassengers, I had it too. Great wee addon.
Thanks, pearsondave !
Let's hope the devs are now aware of this proposition ! I have emailed several time to them. Now that they have published the new PRO version 2.0, maybe they will consider to add this in future update to come.
They already announced they will correct some of the known bug, like passenger ambiance sound not working during cruise.
I cross my finger !
wow... this would be a fantastic addin. If this was open source, I'd be coding it right now!
Yes, many years ago ! As a former dev for FS (https://www.acsoft.ch) I had this feature in one of my addon for FS2004. Today, I still use the boarding & un-boarding WAV loops with a small loop-player application, with my preferred FS2020 aircraft, the A32NX. I also use my funny old "escalator-music" loops with this player !
I just bought this marvelous FSRealistic addon and, of course, I dream too for such a feature to be implemented !!!
The problem I can see, would be the automation. But assuming FSRealistic can read the appropriate FS variables (what is likely), I think the boarding could be triggered with "DOOR OPEN" + "STROBE LIGHT ON". This would be compatible with jetways and also ladders and the pilot may decide the boarding time, by activating the strobe lights (which is, in fact, the right time to do it).
Of course, the end of the boarding will be done by the closing of the door and this will also trigger the actually existing cabin ambiance sound (could be, in fact, a smooth transition to it).
For the un-boarding, it is simple "DOOR OPEN" + "ALL ENGINES OFF" + "SEAT BELT OFF" will trigger the sound (and stop the cabin ambiance sounds).
What do-you think, dev's team ? Can this be done ?
By the way, if you are interested in my old "escalator-music" WAV loops, just tell me !
