Had the same exact thing and timing causing the sim to freeze. Task manager is the only shutdown option at that point.

I've not had any issues with FSRealistic but was thinking the same thing you are, Rodney. No updates, no anything from the developer(s). It appears they've either abandoned the project or just don't feel the need to fix any issues.
